The aim of this qualification is to provide individuals with essential knowledge of the legal framework surrounding the sale of alcohol in England and Wales. This includes key information on the responsibilities of personal licence holders, duties of the designated premises supervisor, the role of licensing authorities and police powers regarding licensed premises.

This qualification is regulated by both Ofqual and the Home Office, and has been designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003. How long does the course take?
The training course lasts about 3 hours and is conducted by a qualified instructor.
Each module is concluded with a test involving a series of multiple-choice questions that is meant to evaluate the progress of the learners. This lets us maintain a hands-on approach on the learning capacity of our learners, letting us keep up the good quality of our course.
Following completion of the course, you will be required to:
- Sit the examination for the course with our course tutor. The exam must be invigilated in order for the accredited certification to be awarded, so you will need to contact us to arrange a date and location to do this.
- Submit application for the Personal Licence to the Local Authorities.
Once you achieve your full qualification, (the full 1 day course or completing the online assessment and then sitting the exam), GlobeUs Training can process the application for the Personal Licence at an additional cost £120.
