The summer holidays have now drawn to a close, and things are slowly returning to normal – August has been a fairly quiet month for GlobeUs with so many away on holiday, but lots of exciting milestones have been achieved nevertheless! We don’t stand still for long!

Earlier in the month, we applied to Southampton City Council as part of a tender process for their PQQ process, and we are very excited to have been accepted! We are just awaiting contracts to be signed, so watch this space for further updates on this news story and what it means for GlobeUs and our clients.

We’ve also seen updates released this month from the Department for Education, regarding the Apprenticeships Levy due to roll out in May 2017.

In response to this, we have created a new page on our website, to help guide learners and employers through the changes, and to serve as a one-stop-shop for any questions you may have regarding the future of Apprenticeships. We are also on hand at any time for you to call or email should there be anything we haven’t answered, or if you wanted some further advice.

You may have also had a couple of emails from us this month regarding updates to the EYFS Statutory Framework and the changes within this to Paediatric First Aid requirements for Childcare Providers. Read the full update here.

We’ve been in touch with many new learners this month following GCSE and A Level results day – congratulations to everyone who has been in touch to let us know such fantastic results! Many have been able to embark on new careers or Further Education as a result of their grades, which is absolutely fantastic. We believe Apprenticeships to be a great alternative to college or university, so why not check out what we offer here, or contact us to see if we can help you get your foot in the door to a fantastic opportunity.

Talking of fantastic opportunities, you know how we at GlobeUs like a challenge… Following our success at the Race for Life in June, we have signed up to the Aspire Channel Swim! We must be bonkers! Raising money for the Aspire charity, we will be collectively swimming 22 miles over the course of 12 weeks, hoping to raise money along the way. Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. We feel this is a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness of the cause, and of course money to help the charity, so if you would like to support us please follow our Just Giving link to donate! We will update you regularly, so wish us luck! https://www.justgiving.com/teams/globeustraining

GlobeUs’ directors, Luke and Aneta, will also be running in the Great South Run next month, so watch out for pictures and updates over the next few weeks. Training is well under way, so we wish them both the very best of luck!

As always, we love to hear from you so if you have any questions or comments please drop us a line here: Contact Us

See you next month!
